How to prepare for your dogs BoardING experience
Do…
Do pack only the essentials. Food, treats, medications or supplements (if applicable) with instructions, collars and leashes. One blanket is allowed but please no soft bedding. Our crates are equipped with durable padding for your pup that is easy to clean and sanitize for everyone’s safety.
Do pack only the quantities needed. Space fills up quickly so we kindly ask that you provide as much food as will only be necessary during your dogs stay.
Do begin crate training your dog during the day (while you are and are not home) as well as over night to help them become comfortable and familiar with it. Your dog will be in and out during the day and sleeping overnight in their crate while they are here. We want this space to be the most familiar to them to help minimize anxiety. Another way to help your dog is to begin feeding your dog in their crate. (This is not necessary, but may be helpful.)
Do your best to match our feeding and potty schedule. Your pup will be outside for potty breaks every day starting at 7:00am, then again at 11:30am, 3:00pm and 7:00pm. We feed everyone breakfast in their crate at 8am and again at 4:30pm to ensure that all dogs go potty at 7:00pm and can make it through the night without accidents. We do NOT have a lunch feeding time. Please let us know if lunch is imperative for your dog and we will make accommodations. This schedule is standard and in addition to training and free/ play time.
Do NOT…
Do not feed your dog anything other than their regular food and treats for THREE weeks prior to arrival. We know you love your pup and want to spoil them before they leave, but we ask that you leave the spoiling to us!
Do not send bowls. We have plenty that are sanitized in the dishwasher for safety every night.
Do not send toys. We have plenty and we don’t want to mix them up! We choose safe, durable and easy to sanitize toys for your pup.
Do not send your dog with food or treats that they have never eaten before.
Do not send anything of value whether sentimental or other as items during boarding pose the risk of damage and/ or loss.
